A Timeline of Lloyd Memorials
1946
William L. Lloyd Jr. (1905-1961) retired as a Pepsi-Cola distributor and established Lloyd Memorials.
1957
William L. Lloyd Jr.'s son, William L. Lloyd III (1929-1990), worked with his father in both businesses. He later moved Lloyd Memorials to its present location in Dover, Delaware. He was a very successful businessman and had an excellent reputation with his work.
1972
William L. Lloyd III.'s son, Mark L. Lloyd Sr., graduated Dover High School in 1972 and started working with his father in the business. He is presently the owner and operator of Lloyd Memorials and has been working here for the past 38 years.
1987
Mark L. Lloyd Sr.'s wife, Lisa A. Lloyd, started working in the family business as a secretary and continues this role today. She also is a very successful sales person and does all the accounting for Lloyd Memorials. She has been here for 23 years.
1988
Phillip Pennington started working at Lloyd Memorials with little knowledge about the business. Mark L. Lloyd Sr. has trained him over the years and he is now an experienced person at his trade. Phillip has been with the business for 22 years and retired in 2010.
1997
William L. Lloyd, who is Mark's son, started working with his father when he was 18. William works with Mike and Anthony setting the memorials and lettering the monuments. He also schedules the work to be done and has his own rock engraving business. He has been here for 13 years.
2004
Brooke E. Lloyd, who is Mark's daughter, has been here for 6 years. She runs the Millsboro office and is a very successful sales person.
